

BRIANNA WRIGHT
Brianna is a former lecturer and assistant director for the Life Sciences Program at the University of Wyoming. For many years she taught non-majors biology courses and worked to support the faculty and graduate students who taught for the Life Sciences Program. Her research interests include how students best learn in the sciences and how assessment practices can improve student success. Brianna spent over a year providing informal adult education as a Horticulture Educator with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension, where she organized programming in therapeutic horticulture.
Brianna currently teaches science at Lander Valley High School in Lander, Wyoming.

TEACHING INTERESTS
Brianna was affiliated with the University of Wyoming from 2005-2016. During her time at UW, her connection with faculty and students paved the way for research projects and interests that assess how to best support these communities.

Brianna's primary research interest focuses on student learning, with a specific interest on active learning in large enrollment courses. Her main goal is to support students as they transition, guiding them towards success every step along the way. Brianna helped develop the Learning Actively Mentorship Program (LAMP) at the University of Wyoming.
